Role Overview

Purpose of the Role:
The Team Leader ensures that all inspection, rework, and quality control activities are carried out in accordance with work instructions, safety standards, and customer expectations. They manage a team of Inspectors or Operators on the line, within QCC or safety-delimited zones, ensuring smooth workflow, adherence to quality standards, and accurate data reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily inspection and rework tasks according to job cards or inspection sheets.
  • Ensure product conformity to customer standards before release.
  • Allocate tasks based on skill, availability, and workload.
  • Conduct first-off checks, line audits, and spot verifications.
  • Support problem-solving by providing accurate defect and rework data.
  • Ensure marking, labeling, and segregation of OK/NOK parts are consistently applied.
  • Maintain 5S standards across the working area.
  • Report material shortages, safety concerns, or process deviations to the Shift Leader immediately.
  • Train new team members on job-specific activities, PPE use, and adherence to work instructions.
  • Record and submit shift production and quality data at the end of each shift.
Leadership & People
  • Motivate the team to achieve shift targets for quality, delivery, and efficiency.
  • Provide fair and constructive feedback to individuals.
  • Escalate performance or attendance issues promptly.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all personnel use the correct PPE and follow COSHH, environmental, and customer safety standards.
  • Prevent cross-contamination of OK/NOK parts.
  • Maintain traceability of inspected and reworked parts.
KPIs
  • Right First Time (RFT) score.
  • Scrap and rework rates.
  • Attendance and adherence to start/finish times.
  • Compliance with 5S standards.
Skills & Experience
  • Prior experience in inspection or production environments.
  • Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Language:
    Dutch / English.
  • Valid driver's license (DL+) and access to a car.
  • Must be willing to rotate across 3 shifts.
