As our Senior Quality Engineer at Xeryon in Leuven, you are the guardian of excellence within a rapidly growing scale-up environment. You will lead quality assurance across the entire lifecycle—from innovative product development to high- tech production. By driving structured problem-solving and mentoring junior talent, you ensure our motion control solutions remain world-class. You are the bridge between technical precision and continuous improvement.

Who

are we looking for?

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our high-tech products and processes. Together with the dedicated Quality team, you will take ownership of both internal and supplier-related quality standards. To achieve this, you will focus on the following core responsibilities:

  • Quality Leadership: Lead QA activities across product development and production, which includes providing second-line support to QC and Production; mentoring junior engineers and upholding a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Risk management: You have a natural ability to swiftly identify potential risks and work to mitigate them in our processes based on priority.
  • Advanced Problem Solving: Drive 8D investigations and manage customer and supplier complaint follow-ups.
  • NPI & Compliance: Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and internal procedures.
  • Supplier Excellence: Plan and perform supplier audits and maintain Quality Agreements.
  • Innovation in Inspection: Implement, validate, develop and document new inspection equipment and test methods.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze KPIs and quality data to identify and execute trends and growth opportunities.

To excel in this role, you need to be highly analytical to navigate complex technical data and identify trends. You must be detail-oriented and accurate, as our micro-motors leave no room for error. Strong documentation and reporting skills are part of your DNA, as well as a solution-oriented mindset and an eagerness to continuously improve processes. You're naturally someone who leads a team and pushes the team to get results.

Hard

Skills & Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (Electronics is a plus).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated quality role. Experience in a manufacturing and/or high-tech environment is a strong plus
  • Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16497 or ISO 13485 Quality Managemen Systems.
  • Expertise in measurement systems, GD&T, and test method validation (e.g., Gage R&R).
  • Proficiency in quality- tools/-systems such as Ishikawa, Six Sigma, 8D, PPAP, DOE and FMEA.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is considered a strong plus.
