Location: Town of Belgium
The PhD student will join KU Leuven's Doctoral Program in Biomedical Sciences and work at the interface of bedside clinical research, advanced cardiovascular and neuro monitoring and translational large‑animal experimentation.
The project investigates metabolic interventions that may improve cardiac function and brain protection in patients requiring Mechanical Circulatory Support (V‑A ECMO and LVAD), including translational preclinical work using an ECPR model.
