Contract TypeV.I.E position based in Belgium, for one year renewable up to 24 months. Potential for hiring at the end of the mission.
The conditions for undertaking a V.I.E assignment- Over 18 and under 28 years old on the date you apply and register on the Mon VIE website
. The assignment must start no later than your 29th birthday (bearing in mind that a V.I.E contract always starts on the 1st of the month). - Be French or a European citizen.
- Be in good standing with regard to the national service obligations of your country(ies) (defence n°).
- Have a clean criminal record.
- Be able to devote yourself full time to your assignment
: no part-time work, entrepreneurship, studies or paid activity at the same time as your V.I.E. - Accept the letter of appointment that you sign with Business France which sets out your rights and your duties during your assignment.

Position and ResponsibilitiesYou will be based in Belgium to gain a strong understanding of the local market and actively contribute to the growth and development of SEDI-ATI Fibres Optiques in Northern Europe. You will report to our Technical Sales Engineer already on site and benefit from the support of the existing sales team. A technical training on our technologies will be provided for a minimum period of 2 months (at the start of the mission) at our site in Evry-Courcouronnes (91-Essonne, France).
You will then be deployed and supported in Brussels, in our coworking spaces.
Client Portfolio Management As a member of the sales team, you will collaborate with our on-site Technical Sales Engineer and the sales management to manage existing accounts and generate new client accounts.
Technical Offer Presentation and Project Management You will present our technical offer to clients and prospects, update our database, conduct commercial prospecting, follow up on your offers, and provide regular activity reports.
Ensuring Client Satisfaction Your ability to build long-term trust-based relationships with current and future clients will help ensure client satisfaction.
Expanding the Company's Reach This mission may extend to other countries such as the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Scandinavian countries to improve our market mapping.
Events and Travel You will travel as needed for client visits, meetings and training at headquarters (in France), as well as for trade shows.
Desired Profile- Bachelor's, Master's level, or engineering degree, preferably in photonics with knowledge of fiber optics.
- Ideally, a minimum of 6 months of professional experience in technical sales, related to the photonics industry.
- Interest in complex projects.
- Good level of autonomy, team spirit, initiative, enthusiasm, strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to conduct business discussions in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Creativity and proactive mindset with an open mind to think outside the box.
- Autonomy, strong team spirit, and keen communication skills for effective exchanges and collaboration.
- Organization and versatility to juggle multiple projects and adapt quickly to priorities.
- Reactivity, anticipation, agility, and ability to manage stress calmly while maintaining high-quality work.
Brussels as the base workplace, covering the Benelux / UK / Northern Europe region for travel.
