Sales Manager, Business Development
Location: Town of Belgium
A Belgian family company which has established itself as a leader in the European timber industry, mastering the whole timber process from sourcing of round wood all the way to the delivery of the finished product. Given the remaining growth potential in Flanders and Northern France, this company is looking for a Sales Engineer who will both manage existing customers and drive new business in those regions.
As a 100 family company, the absolute DNA of the company is to develop long lasting partnerships, both with its customers and its employees.
As Sales Engineer, you are a key player in driving business growth by acquiring and maintaining relationships with customers across Flanders and Northern France. You will utilize your interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and build a bond with customers, while providing technical expertise. This role involves identifying opportunities, creating strategic partnerships, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve sales and profit targets for assigned key accounts; monitor these targets and adjust them as needed.
- Initiate, develop, and strengthen relationships with customers, partners, and wholesalers.
- Promote the product range and offer tailored deals.
- Represent the company at trade shows and professional events.
- Identify and respond to market trends.
- Ensure rigorous sales follow-up and clear reporting.
- Identify and address customer needs.
- Understand customers' business processes.
- Manage complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Education:
Bachelor s degree or equivalent by experience. - Languages:
Fluent French, Dutch, and English (essential for effective region coverage and international stakeholder management). German is nice to have. - Experience:
Proven experience in Business Development & Account Management in the Timber industry. - Key
