Business Consultant - Japan market M/W/X
The International Taste Institute, Brussels, is the leading independent Chefs and Sommeliers based organisation dedicated to certifying TASTE of food and drink from around the world. The Superior Taste Award is a unique international recognition based upon the blind taste evaluation by top Chefs and Sommeliers, opinion leaders and experts in taste. It is used by hundreds of companies in more than 130 countries as a marketing tool to differentiate their products.
The Business Consultant function includes direct selling, lead generation and other commercial activities for the Japan market. He(she) positively presents the nature and benefits of the Taste Institute's services and converts interest of customers into orders. He(she) also assists the team in the preparation of the food/drink tasting sessions and other administrative tasks.
The Consultant also :
- Insures the good follow-up of orders
- Helps to promote awarded brands from the Japan market
- Participates to international fairs and to the tasting sessions
- Manages the Taste Institute's databases and website
- Helps the customers use the awards for their awarded products
- Excellent command of Japanese (C1/C2 level required)
- Fluency in English
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communication or a related field, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales/marketing, preferably in B2B sales or Account Management
- Knowledge of the Japan food and beverage market
- Knowledge of Export / Import assistance within the Japan market (optional)
- Good communication and commercial skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and within an international team environment
- Experience with CRM
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Indesign, social media and data base management
- Some experience in FMCG is a plus
