As part of the Belgian railway ecosystem, you will contribute to solutions that ensure Belgian railways continue to evolve, allowing passengers to travel in a modern and sustainable way. The recently approved NMBS-SNCB “Rail Vision 2040” sets ambitious goals to encourage more people, companies, and organizations to choose the train as their preferred mobility solution. Rail remains the most climate-friendly mode of public transport today.

In a world of modern and sustainable mobility, new digital services and applications are continuously being introduced. These innovations lead to better information and communication for passengers and rail crew, diversified ticket purchasing channels, improved asset monitoring, and further automation of operational processes—ultimately increasing efficiency and service quality.

The ambition is clear: further digitalizing NMBS-SNCB, delivering innovative solutions and enabling flexible, user-centric services.

As a Senior Developer, you will work within the OPC team (Operational Planning & Competences Management) and be assigned to the Business Area Competences Management. This key pillar manages applications primarily dedicated to the planning and management of rolling stock, train drivers, and controllers.

• Minimum 8+ years of development experience in Microsoft technologies
• Minimum 5+ years of development experience in C#
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with ORM technologies such as Entity Framework, LINQ to SQL, or Dapper
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with MS SQL Server relational databases
• Minimum 3+ years of development experience in Blazor
• Onsite presence in Belgium: 2 days per week
• Experience in the Public Transport sector

• Proficient in writing REST APIs using .NET Core Web API
• Strong expertise in GIT, including tools and workflows
• Solid experience with layered architecture and its applications
• Good knowledge of design patterns such as CQRS, Repository, Unit of Work, Command, and Singleton
• Ability to write code compliant with SOLID principles
• Strong affinity for writing well-covered unit tests
• Application-level understanding of Azure PaaS services and when to use them
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines
• Very comfortable with Visual Studio 2022
• Experience with Dev Ops tools and practices, including Docker, AKS, Jenkins, and YAML
