Junior Fullstack Developer

Our mission is supported by an ambitious vertically integrated approach: design & manufacture of small satellites combined with development of earth observation services.

Since its creation in 2018, the company has already grown substantially. Our team gathers more than 25 engineering expertise, from hardware design to software development & data science.

In 2025, Aerospacelab counts offices in Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), Toulouse (France), Lausanne (Switzerland) and US West Coast with more than 350 full-time employees, with the ambition to position itself as the European leader in small satellites.

As a satellite manufacturer and operator, Aerospacelabdevelops a range of software products that support the lifecycle of satellitesmissions: operation of in-orbit satellites, planning of ongoing and futuremissions, collection and processing of data, intelligence extraction ... you nameit ! To support those activities, we are looking for passionate and talenteddeveloper with a user-centric mindset.

As a junior fullstack developer, you will join an agile development squad that works on one of the cutting-edge solutions that composeour “Software-as-a-Service” ecosystem. Within this team, you will contribute tothe design, implementation and testing of web-based software components.

• Communicate with and control in-orbit satellites.
• Plan ongoing and future satellite missions (e.g. plan when/where to acquire images).
• Collect and process data from instruments (e.g. calibrate images).
• Extract information from collected data (e.g. compute land cover from images).
• Backend
  - Python:
  FastAPI, Pydantic, SQL Alchemy.

• Design,develop and test software products.
• Writetechnical documentation & test procedures.

• Bachelor, Master or PhD’s degree in computer engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge in Java and/or Python.
• Knowledge of database systems, such as MySQL or Postgre
  
  SQL.
• Familiar with code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Proficient in English.
• Be eligible to work from our Belgium Office.

• Experience with (part of) our technology stack.
• Experience in frontend design and development.
• Experience in the Space sector.
• Familiar with image processing.
