Role Overview

Senior Data Engineer – In this role you will design, implement, and maintain advanced data infrastructure and digital solutions that underpin our AI‑powered strategies. You will collaborate with machine learning engineers, cloud architects, and data scientists to build robust, scalable data pipelines that empower our clients across a variety of sectors.

• Design and deploy complex data architectures from ingestion to production‑ready systems.
• Build and maintain ELT pipelines (batch and streaming) using tools such as Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster.
• Develop and sustain high‑performance data platforms on cloud services (Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Databricks).
• Implement data quality, metadata management, and security controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure solutions are innovative, scalable, and reliable.
• Mentor team members and contribute to best‑practice knowledge sharing.

• Strong background in data engineering and back‑end software development.
• Proficiency with Git, Python, SQL, and Docker.
• Experience with Terraform and cloud‑based infrastructure automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Services, or AWS Data Services.
• Knowledge of Spark for data processing and dbt for advanced data modeling.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, and secure private networking in cloud environments.
• Experience with data quality tooling and metadata management tools is a plus.

Our main offices are in Leuven and Ghent, with co‑working spaces in Charleroi and Antwerp. While a significant portion of the work can be performed remotely, you will also work on‑site with clients.
