Senior Java Developer (Spring / Microservices) | Energy

Join our client’s international Information Systems team, supporting business‑critical risk management solutions in a fast‑moving B2B environment. In this role you will design and deliver scalable software that supports operational and decision‑making processes, contributing to digital platforms that enable sustainable, low‑carbon operations.

• Brussels, Belgium – 2 days onsite, 3 days remote (hybrid)
• Relocation to Brussels is mandatory for candidates living far from the area or must be able to commute regularly.
• Language:
  French or Dutch (B2 or more) + English (B2 or more)
• Eligible: EU citizens or Non‑EU citizens currently based in the EU with a valid work permit

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to refine requirements and align solutions with business goals
• Design and implement scalable applications following best practices and clean architecture principles
• Lead development of critical components and ensure timely delivery
• Mentor developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and code quality
• Maintain high standards through code reviews, testing, and documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure system reliability and performance
• Keep up to date with Java technologies and propose improvements or innovations when relevant

• Minimum 7 years professional experience in Java development
• Strong expertise in Java 11/17, Spring Framework (v5+), Spring MVC, REST API design, and microservices architecture
• Experience with front‑end frameworks such as Vue.js and responsive HTML/CSS
• Cloud deployments on Microsoft Azure, Azure Dev Ops, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, communication, and a collaborative leadership mindset
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• 1‑year contract (extendable up to a maximum of 3 years)
• Start: ASAP, ideally by 02/03/2026
