Knife River is hiring for a Quality Control Technician based out of our Belgrade, MT office.
Job Responsibilities- Safely perform standardized testing on aggregate, asphalt, and concrete materials in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and applicable state DOT procedures.
- Accurately document, log, and report all test results in a timely and organized manner.
- Communicate test results and quality control observations clearly to supervisors, project managers, and production team.
- Maintain testing equipment and tools, including completion of calibration checks and recordkeeping.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean, orderly work environment.
- Represent Knife River in a professional manner and interact courteously with team members, customers, and inspectors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Position requires availability to work up to 7 days per week and varied/extended hours; may be required to travel out of town for short periods.

Minimum Qualifications- Candidates who are not already certified will be required to successfully pass written and practical exams to obtain WAQTC Aggregate and Asphalt certifications, as well as ACI Concrete testing certification. Training will be provided.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, percentages, and calculations related to material properties.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to lift material samples weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
