The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to residents. Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing practice and applicable standards. Coordinates care, resident assessment, education, and various nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel as appropriate, ensuring safe administration of resident care and resolution of concerns.

Adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

• Ensure safe administration of resident care and resolve care and service concerns.
• Adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure.

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred: CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA).
• Preferably hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where nursing practice occurs, or multistate licensure under a Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications.
