Required Qualifications
High school diploma, completion of G.E.D, or equivalent. CNA 0r EMT Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual oral and written communication skills preferred.
Necessary special requirements:
- Montana Driver’s license or the ability to obtain license within three months of hire date.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required within 1 month after hire.
Essential Job Duties
- Administer first aid as needed.
- Support students with health plans as directed by school nurse.
- Perform technical procedures as directed by school nurse (e.g. blood glucose testing, subcutaneous injectable epinephrine, diapering, catheterization).
- Maintain student immunization files as directed by school nurse.
- Maintain student health files as directed by school nurse.
- Document the care and treatments provided to each student in his/her individual health file or in daily log record book.
- Assist school nurse with yearly screenings.
- Assist in preparing district and state required reports.
- Maintain a clean and orderly health office, including inventorying as directed by school nurse.
- Perform clerical and secretarial duties as assigned by school principal including covering office positions during coworkers’ assigned lunches or breaks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Possess English language skills.
- Knowledge of computer and keyboarding skills.
- Ability to provide customer service and public relations skills.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, parents, and general public with diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.
