Bridger Aerospace is an aerial firefighting company based in Belgrade, Montana, located at the Bozeman Yellowstone Airport (KBZN). It was founded in 2014 to support front-line firefighters with world-leading technology and aerial fire suppression systems. We have grown from operating a single plane to commanding a significant Air Attack and the largest Super Scooper fleet in the U.S. in less than eight years.

Bridger is a leader in fighting wildfires, specializing in Air Attack, Fire Suppression, and Aerial Fire-Mapping technologies. Our focus is to provide the most effective and modern capabilities to fight fires from the air. Meeting the needs of the growing threat of economic and environmental damage caused by wildfires and supporting ground-based firefighters is our priority.

Role

We are seeking highly skilled team players, who can work well under pressure to meet quick deadlines while adhering to FAA and safety regulations to fill the role of Avionics Installer - Rotational. In this position you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and equipment on aircraft. This includes a wide range of tasks, from installing wiring harnesses and components to ensuring proper functioning of navigation, communication, and other critical systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting multiple aircraft platforms under a Part 145 repair station and Part 91 maintenance operations. This position is based at Bridger Aerospace HQ in Belgrade, MT and is year-round 12 days on and 12 days off. Applicants may live away from the station and commute to HQ for 12 days on schedule.

Position may require travel away from home station.

Responsibilities
  • Work within a team environment to fabricate, route, and terminate avionics systems wire harnesses and install components in a variety of fixed-wing aircraft.
  • Perform hands-on integration of navigation, communication, and surveillance systems.
  • Conduct system power-ups, functional tests, and troubleshooting of avionics systems post-installation.
  • Modify aircraft instrument panels, racks, and structures to accommodate new avionics equipment.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Remove existing avionics systems and prepare aircraft for new installations.
  • Ensure compliance with all STCs, service bulletins, technical manuals, and FAA regulations during installation projects.
  • Document all work performed using appropriate maintenance tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, inspection, and other production teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring proper care and use of tools and equipment.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 3 + years of experience maintaining aircraft Avionics Systems
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport
  • Ability to obtain FAA Repairmen Certificate or Valid A&P License
  • Experience working in a 145 Repair Station Preferred
  • Avionics Installer experience preferred
  • Ability to Pass a DOT drug screening
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office and aircraft maintenance tracking software
  • Ability to lift equipment and materials up to 50 lbs
