Service Technician, Level 1

• Assist customers and other employees by performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, evaluating and understanding their individual needs and formulating a plan to ensure they are met
• Inspect, maintain, and repair a variety of water and wastewater systems including pumps, valves, motors, lift stations, wells, and other systems
• Work on an assigned work schedule of 7:00 A.M.
  
  - 4:00 P.M. Monday - Friday, with the ability to work overtime hours as needed
• Travel to customer locations, with some out state travel required (10% - 15% of the time)
• May need to work on-call
• Opportunities for advancement into higher-level technical positions based on performance and development.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to use general business software (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Excel, Adobe Acrobat) and hardware (smartphone/tablet, notebook computer, etc.)
• Small to medium water and sewer utility systems knowledge, troubleshooting ability and equipment maintenance experience is preferred
• Previous experience in mechanical, electrical, construction, or related fields is highly preferred
• Able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver’s license with acceptable MVR
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, and follow OSHA, MSHA, DOT, DEQ, EPA, and other applicable safety and regulatory standards
• Ability and willingness to learn continuously through training and independently are essential for this position

Demonstrates expertise in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing water and wastewater systems while adhering to safety and regulatory standards. Proficient in troubleshooting and evaluating customer needs to provide effective solutions.
