Position: Staff Debug and DevOps Engineer

Tenstorrent is leading the industry on cutting-edge AI technology, revolutionizing performance expectations, ease of use, and cost efficiency. With AI redefining the computing paradigm, solutions must evolve to unify innovations in software models, compilers, platforms, networking, and semiconductors. Our diverse team of technologists have developed a high performance RISC-V CPU from scratch, and share a passion for AI and a deep desire to build the best AI platform possible.

We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to solving hard problems. We are growing our team and looking for contributors of all seniorities.

Tenstorrent is building some of the world's most advanced AI systems, spanning custom silicon, distributed software, and large-scale compute infrastructure. The Debug & Dev Ops team sits at the intersection of infrastructure, developer productivity, debugging, and automation, ensuring engineering environments remain reliable, scalable, and efficient. This team partners closely with software, firmware, silicon, validation, and infrastructure engineers to rapidly diagnose complex issues, improve CI/CD workflows, and build the tooling that accelerates AI hardware and software development.

You will help build and operate the infrastructure that powers engineering across the company, improving observability, automating workflows, and driving root-cause analysis across hardware and software systems. Your work will directly impact development velocity, platform reliability, and the delivery of next‑generation AI hardware and software.

This role is hybrid, based out of Belgrade, Serbia.

We welcome candidates at various experience levels for this role. During the interview process, candidates will be assessed for the appropriate level, and offers will align with that level, which may differ from the one in this posting.

Who You Are
  • Experienced in Dev Ops, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Production Engineering, or Software Engineering within complex distributed environments.
  • Strong Linux systems expertise with experience troubleshooting infrastructure, networking, operating systems, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed applications.
  • Proficient with automation and scripting using Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages, along with modern CI/CD and infrastructure tooling.
  • Familiar with observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Open Telemetry, ELK, or similar technologies.
  • Passionate about solving complex technical problems through automation, root‑cause analysis, and scalable engineering solutions.
What We Need
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues impacting development, validation, and production environments across hardware and software systems.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD infrastructure, automation frameworks, deployment pipelines, and engineering workflows that improve productivity.
  • Design and enhance monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting systems to improve reliability and operational visibility.
  • Partner with software, firmware, silicon, validation, and infrastructure teams to diagnose issues across multiple layers of the technology stack.
  • Drive long‑term reliability improvements by automating operational tasks and implementing preventative solutions for recurring issues.
What You Will Learn
  • How next‑generation AI hardware and software platforms are developed, validated, and deployed.
  • Advanced debugging techniques spanning operating systems, networking, infrastructure, firmware, and application layers.
  • How custom RISC‑V processors, AI accelerators, and distributed software systems interact at production scale.
  • How CI/CD, observability, and automation accelerate engineering productivity across AI hardware development.
  • How world‑class hardware and software teams collaborate to build cutting‑edge AI computing platforms.
