Job Description
The Warehouse Worker supports efficient warehouse operations by accurately picking and preparing orders for shipment, handling materials using RF scanners and other equipment, and assisting in light inventory control and basic assembly work in a woodworking environment. This role requires consistent attention to detail, safe lifting practices, and the ability to work with hand and power tools while meeting work order specifications.
ResponsibilitiesPick orders for shipment accurately and efficiently according to work order and shipping requirements.
Use RF scanners to locate, pick, and verify all products for shipping orders.
Allocate and organize product within the warehouse to maintain efficient storage and retrieval.
Perform light inventory control, including counting, verifying, and reporting stock levels as needed.
Band or palletize products to ensure secure and safe transport.
Help assemble pre-fabricated doors to meet detailed work order specifications when required.
Read a tape measure accurately and consistently to 1/16 inch for precise measurements.
Prepare finished orders for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and staging for pickup or delivery.
Lift, move, and manipulate materials and products weighing up to 60 pounds as needed throughout the shift.
Handle general material handling tasks, including loading, unloading, and organizing products in the warehouse.
Support shipping and receiving activities, including checking in deliveries and preparing outbound shipments.
Follow all safety procedures when using hand tools, saws, and other power or pneumatic tools.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both the warehouse and woodworking shop.
Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production and shipping deadlines.
At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of steady employment demonstrating reliability and consistency.
Ability to regularly lift, move, and manipulate up to 60 pounds safely.
Experience with basic warehouse functions such as picking, packaging, material handling, shipping, and receiving.
Ability to use RF scanners for picking and inventory-related tasks.
Competence in reading a tape measure accurately to 1/16 inch.
Comfort working in a woodworking and assembly environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and preparation.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and meet work order specifications.
Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hand tools, saws, and other power and pneumatic tools is a significant plus.
Experience in assembly work, particularly assembling pre-fabricated components such as doors.
Familiarity with forklift operation and general warehouse equipment is beneficial.
Experience with inventory control processes and RF-based inventory systems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
