• Provide excellent customer service to customers in the bakery department.
• Assist customers with bakery purchases, special orders, and general inquiries.
• Clean shelving, display cases, and self‑serve displays in the front of the store and bakery.
• Work with the baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated.
• Hose down floors with soap and water to maintain department cleanliness.
• Accept and follow written or oral instructions from the Bakery Manager.

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, and short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively to customers and coworkers in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (preferred).
• Retail Management Certificate (preferred).
• Food Handler Card or equivalent certification (required).
