Bellaire Family Eye Care is a privately owned, six-doctor optometry practice dedicated to providing exceptional eye care and optical services. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic optician for our optical department. We are focused on providing outstanding patient experiences in a supportive, energetic workplace.
Job OverviewIn this role, you will assist patients with selecting eyewear, fitting and dispensing their choices and verifying insurance information as needed. The right candidate must be comfortable educating our patients on higher end frame and lens products while providing superior patient service.
What you bring to this position- Two years’ minimum experience preferred working in a fast paced optometric or ophthalmology practice as an optician
- Ability to dispense and fit eyeglasses ensuring proper fit and comfort for a variety of patients including pediatrics and seniors.
- Educate patients on lens options, proper lens care and eye health
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written), bilingual a plus
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment, functioning for the good of the team over the individual
- Superior patient service skills to exceed the needs of our patients
- Experience with Crystal PM or a similar electronic medical record system
- A positive team-oriented work environment
