Job Summary

The Project Manager Emergency Preparedness manages, plans, and coordinates all emergency management functions for assigned pavilion. Works with all levels of management, reports to various committees, and facilitates the Emergency Management Committee in order to accomplish all emergency management requirements. Manages and coordinates all emergency preparedness related regulatory requirements for area of responsibility. Serves as an active core member of the pavilion Physical Environment Committee.

Manages resources and maintains control of mid to large scale projects. Ensures projects are carried out as planned in terms of objectives, time and financial constraints, and organizational policies and procedures. Leads and coordinates all project activities for equipment procurement; conducts administrative utilization reviews and evaluations, as well as clinical and business stakeholder analyses.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Degrees/Work Experience/

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Safety, Business Administration, Project Management and 4 years work experience in healthcare, emergency management or related field.
    • OR High School diploma and 8 years of experience in healthcare, emergency management or related field.
  • Management

    Experience:

    Two (2) years of project management experience.
Typical Duties that May Be Performed
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of emergency preparedness exercises within the designated pavilion or area of responsibility.
  • Collaborate with pavilion leadership and the Director of Emergency Management to deliver training and education on emergency/disaster protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with emergency management standards as outlined by accrediting and regulatory bodies.
  • Represent the pavilion in System-wide Physical Environment Committee meetings and community emergency preparedness initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the pavilion and community emergency agencies to promote coordinated response strategies.
  • Track and report emergency preparedness performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and presenting findings to leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation (e.g., drills, after-action reports, improvement plans), ensuring readiness for audits and regulatory reviews.
  • Oversee and support all surveys, audits, and assessments related to emergency preparedness in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the Emergency Management Committee in alignment with pavilion leadership and Emergency Management leadership.
  • Collaboratively develop, update, and align the Emergency Operations Plan, emergency response protocols, and policies with applicable standards.
  • Manage procurement, maintenance, and inventory of emergency response equipment and supplies; prepare related reports as needed.
