- The Sr. Info Sec Engineer assists with day-to-day information security operations and helps with the implementation of the Information Security Strategic Plan to enforce HIPAA and PCI compliance.
- Responsibilities include the managing, monitoring and maintenance of information security devices such as encryption technology, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Threat Detection tools, SEIM tools and web content filtering technology.
- Create reports based on information gathered from security technology and report to CISO on a daily basis.
- Perform detailed information security assessments on Harris Health System information systems to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations. These assessments include, but are not limited to, application reviews, access controls, network reviews, and regulatory and other compliance reviews.
- Degrees / Work Experience / School
Education:
Bachelors of Science in Information Technology or related field (and) five (5) years work experience related to clinical or business. - (Or)
- High School Diploma or GED (and) nine (9) years work experience related to clinical or business.
- Security + (or) Cisco security certifications GIAC (or) CISSP upon hire or one of these must be obtained within 6 months of accepting position.
- Four (4) years work experience in a security and compliance role. Ability to evaluate and review a range of information systems and applications to include Windows, Unix, IBM, Cisco.

- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical
- Work Schedule: Flexible, Eligible for Telecommute
- Knowledge of HIPAA Security rule, HITECH, investigating and documenting incidents, and compliance. (required).
- Ability to evaluate and review a range of information systems and applications to include Windows, Unix, IBM, Cisco.
