The Core Cardiology Sr. Application Analyst is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise cardiology applications that support critical clinical workflows. This role serves as the primary technical resource for application support, system configuration, troubleshooting, and project implementation while partnering with clinical teams, IT, and third-party vendors. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting healthcare imaging and cardiology applications, with a strong background in system optimization, integrations, and technical project execution.
Key Responsibilities Application Support & Maintenance (50%)- Provide Tier 3 support for core cardiology applications, troubleshooting complex application, interface, and workflow issues.
- Monitor system performance, maintain application availability, and ensure data integrity across supported platforms.
- Configure and optimize application workflows, DICOM routing, and backend system settings to support clinical operations.
- Resolve issues involving DICOM, HL7 interfaces, networking, and imaging applications while documenting solutions and system changes.
- Lead technical execution of system upgrades, application enhancements, and new technology implementations.
- Develop project plans, coordinate testing and cutover activities, and provide regular project status updates.
- Partner with clinical teams, infrastructure, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery and minimal operational disruption.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for third-party software and hardware vendors, driving issue resolution and long-term fixes.
- Collaborate with Cardiology, Infrastructure, and EHR teams to support integrations and improve clinical workflows.
- Work on-site one day per week for team collaboration and planning, with the remaining days remote.
- 7+ years of experience supporting healthcare imaging, cardiology, or clinical applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- DICOM routing
- HL7 interfaces
- Imaging/application configuration
- Proven ability to configure application workflows and provide advanced technical support.
- Experience leading system upgrades, technical implementations, and vendor management.
- Must reside within the Greater Houston metropolitan area.
- Experience supporting enterprise cardiology applications or serving as a PACS Administrator in a Cardiology or Radiology environment.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Syngo Dynamics, GE PACS, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), Philips ISP, Syngo.via, or Laurel Bridge/DICOM Systems
. - Experience supporting EHR integrations, including Epic, is a plus.
- Demonstrated history of stable tenure within healthcare IT organizations.
