This role requires associates to work from the posted location, enabling consistent face‑to‑face collaboration, teamwork, and direct engagement. Policy requires candidates to be within reasonable commuting distance unless a lawful accommodation is granted.
How You Will Make An Impact- Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards and company policy and procedures.
- Completes admission process as directed by Center Director.
- Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted, including new consults.
- Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record.
- Reports all significant changes or observations to the Center Director and follows up on any identified problems.
- Communicates effectively with other members of the IV team on patient status and observations.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times by abiding by HIPAA laws and regulations.
- Evaluates the patient’s response to therapy and documents this finding in the medical record.
- Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan.
- Participates in the Quality Improvement program.
- Ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate and up to date prior to treatment.
- Provides clinical coverage for nurse practitioners on PTO/LOA and supports new market launches.
- May require travel to other Paragon clinics to support coverage as needed.
- MS in Nursing and minimum 2 years of nursing experience; or any combination of education and experience providing an equivalent background.
- Current, active, valid and unrestricted NP license to practice in the applicable state.
- Active, current and valid Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Multi-state licensure if providing services in multiple states.
- Completion of a Tuberculosis test and Hepatitis B vaccination or signed waiver.
- Ability to obtain credentialing with major payors in the market, including Medicare/Medicaid.
- Experience with IV insertion and maintenance.
- Experience with Port, PICC, and Peripheral Lines.
- Infusion reaction management experience.
- Titration experience.
- Medication mixing and infusion experience.
