Role Description

The Adult Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Bellaire, TX, providing direct patient care to adults in an outpatient clinical setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, developing and implementing treatment plans, and managing chronic and acute conditions in collaboration with the supervising physician. The role involves ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, providing patient education on disease prevention and health maintenance, and coordinating referrals to specialists when needed.

The Adult Nurse Practitioner will document all encounters in the medical record, participate in care planning, and support practice workflows to ensure efficient, high-quality care. The position requires close collaboration with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff while maintaining adherence to regulatory, ethical, and safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong Nurse Practitioner and Nursing skills, including comprehensive adult patient assessment and care coordination.
  • Candidates should possess solid Medicine and Primary Care skills, with experience in managing common adult conditions and providing preventive care.
  • Candidates should possess relevant Surgery-related competencies, such as assisting with minor procedures and performing basic in-office interventions as permitted by scope of practice.
  • Active, unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas and national certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program and documented clinical experience in adult primary care or internal medicine.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and interact respectfully with diverse patient populations.
  • Demonstrated ability to use electronic health records, follow clinical protocols, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
