Overview
K–12 Literacy Coach position to support implementation of the District Literacy Framework and evidence-based, science-of-reading practices. The coach will collaborate with staff, guide professional learning, analyze literacy data, and help align instruction with district literacy goals.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with staff to support implementation of the District Literacy Framework and science-of-reading practices.
- Guide professional learning for teachers and staff.
- Analyze literacy data to inform instruction and improvements.
- Help align classroom instruction with district literacy goals.
- Valid teaching certificate.
- Literacy/reading or leadership credential.
- Strong knowledge of the science of reading.
- Literacy-focused teaching experience.
This position is funded with CLSD (ELA-SD) grant funds, requires approximately 175 days of work between September 1, 2026 and August 30, 2027, and offers a salary TBD based on qualifications. This is a one-year position dependent on ELA-SD grant continuation funds.
