Job Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Heavy Equipment Lube Technician at our Belle Fourche, SD location. This position requires the individual be safety minded. The Lube Tech performs any and all tasks associated with preventative maintenance and assist with mechanical repairs to wheel-scrapers, dozers, loaders, motor graders, backhoes, excavators, articulated haul trucks, skid steers, water pumps, generators. Maintenance to the equipment will be conducted in or at shop facility, or out in the field using provided service truck.
This is considered a safety sensitive position therefore will be subject to random drug testing as required.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Schedule, perform preventative maintenance to maintain equipment, assist with daily repairs and ensure any out of compliance issues are fixed in a timely manner
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Proper communication with staff about repairs made or needed
- Document repairs made and parts used in repair process
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must have own tools
- Knowledge of standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in repairs
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air, brake
- Current CDL
- Clean MVR
- Able to acquire Hazmat
- Ability to:
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Bend, stretch, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Lift occasionally up to 75 lbs
- Fill out all necessary daily paperwork and/or safety related documents
- Recognize and respond to immediate safety concerns
Working Conditions:
- Outdoors in any and all weather conditions.
Work Hours:
- 10-12 hour work days, 5 days a week, overtime, occasional Saturday if weather interrupts regular week
Safety Training:
- MSHA
