Family and Community Engagement Advocate

Lutheran Services Florida seeks a Family and Community Engagement Advocate to strengthen connections between families, schools, and community resources. In this community-facing role, you will coordinate outreach events, provide referrals, and support families in accessing child welfare, mental health, substance abuse, and education services. Working within a compassionate, collaborative culture, you'll partner with community agencies and internal teams to enhance engagement, track outcomes, and improve service delivery for diverse families across Florida.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with families to support engagement in community and social service programs
• Coordinate and promote family-focused events, workshops, and outreach activities
• Connect families to appropriate resources in child welfare, mental health, education, and substance abuse services
• Collaborate with schools, community partners, and internal LSF teams to improve service delivery
• Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and reports in accordance with program standards
• Advocate for family needs and help reduce barriers to accessing services
• Collect feedback from participants and assist in improving program design and outcomes
• Provide basic referrals, follow-up, and ongoing support to ensure successful participation
• Assist with data tracking, reporting, and evaluation of engagement outcomes
• Uphold LSF values of diversity, inclusion, and compassionate service in all interactions
