AGC Glass Company North America, located in Bellefontaine, Ohio, fabricates high-quality automotive safety glass for automobile manufacturers located in the United States and abroad. We are searching for individuals who want to join our fast-paced, high-tech, team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control systems and processes.
- Conduct audits and testing to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Identify areas for improvement in the production process, reducing defects and enhancing quality.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance documentation, including process flows, inspection reports, and corrective actions.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with Specialization in Operations Management, Engineering Management, Quality Management, or a closely related field.
- Master's degree in quality management or related may be preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge of automotive standards and regulations (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VOA, APQP).
- Experience with process improvement and problem-solving methodologies like Six Sigma, Lean, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, or similar tools.
- Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with standards.
- Experience with quality control software tools and techniques, Minitab, or similar software.
- Working knowledge of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
- Working knowledge of FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
- Working knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control)
- Working knowledge of MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis).
Skills:
- Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes, product design, and materials.
- Strong understanding of problem-solving, statistical analysis, quality metrics, and performance indicators.
- Ability to perform testing and inspections of materials, products, and processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and quality management tools like ERP systems or SAP.
- Working knowledge of CAD and engineering drawing interpretation can be an added advantage.
- Proficiency with OEM Portals is a plus.
