Role Description

This is a full‑time, on‑site role for an Instrumentation Engineer at TRC Inc., located in Bellefontaine, Ohio. As an Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining vehicle‑and‑test‑related instrumentation systems. This includes collaborating with the testing team to meet project requirements, troubleshooting and resolving system issues, and ensuring data accuracy and quality. You will provide technical support for test operations and contribute to the development of advanced vehicle technologies within the company's testing facilities.

Qualifications
  • Experience with data acquisition systems, sensors, and instrumentation; knowledge of related software tools is a plus.
  • Skills in system design, integration, and maintenance of instrumentation and measurement devices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to instrumentation systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive testing procedures, processes, and vehicle technologies.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with advanced vehicle technologies and autonomous systems is beneficial.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
