Fabrication Tech Intern

Power Built is a turn-key material handling systems integrator, with an emphasis on lift assist, conveyor, controls, and pre-engineered equipment. Power Built’s clients include many of the largest automotive, appliance, aerospace, and heavy truck manufacturers within the United States, Canada, and Mexico. We are seeking a qualified individual to invite onto our team as our company continues to expand and grow.

We are seeking motivated high school and college students interested in gaining practical experience in the manufacturing industry. As an intern/co-op, you will work alongside experienced professionals in various departments, including production, engineering, and operations. This opportunity will allow you to develop technical skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities in a dynamic work environment.

• Assist in manufacturing processes, including assembly, fabrication, and engineering.
• Support engineers and technicians in troubleshooting production issues.
• Learn about machine operations.
• Gather and analyze data to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Complete assigned projects and present findings to supervisors.

• Currently enrolled in high school, technical school, or college (engineering, manufacturing, or related fields preferred).
• Strong interest in hands-on learning and mechanical processes.
• Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, or CAD software is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions, work in a team, and take initiative.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
