Travel RN - Med​/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring ICU, ER, and Med/Surg experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• 1 year of experience in Emergency Department, ICU, and Med/Surg required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Must provide COVID vaccination card if vaccinated

• Float pool position covering ER, Med/Surg, and ICU units within a general medical surgical hospital
• 12-hour night shift schedule with a Sunday through Saturday work week
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Must be willing to float to other areas as assigned and accept low census as needed
• Weekend and holiday work required
• Provide direct and indirect patient care while communicating with physicians, nurse managers, and coworkers regarding changes in patient condition
• Perform thorough patient assessments and respond quickly and calmly to changes in condition or crisis situations
• Work independently, delegate appropriately, and adhere to unit staffing and personnel policies
• No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted during the assignment
