  • Administrative Support 3 - $1,692.06 to $2,141.00 bi-weekly ($44,162 - $55,880/year), $23.34 to $29.53 per hour
  • Administrative Support 4 - $1,862.58 to $2,356.75 bi-weekly ($48,613 - $61,511/year), $25.69 to $32.51 per hour

This competition will be used to fill current and future vacancies for wage, temporary and permanent Administrative Support positions as part of the Administrative Talent Pool. Part-time opportunities may be available.

Candidates who are successful in the selection process will be placed in a Talent Pool. The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time. This competition will be used to create an eligibility list of qualified candidates to fill upcoming opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

We are looking for team players who can think and work independently as well as support team members doing a variety of duties, while adhering to policies, procedures and processes. You will exercise proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to ensure day‑to‑day admin duties are carried out smoothly.

Your strong attention to detail and accuracy will help you prepare correspondence and a variety of documents. Your exceptional relationship building skills will help you provide customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Your desire to excel and achieve results will make you an asset to any team.

Excellent communication skills dealing with individuals in person, over the phone, virtually and in a variety of written formats (e‑mail, letters, etc.) will help you be effective in any administrative support role. Your organizational and prioritization skills will assist you in meeting deadlines while producing quality work.

Our administrative positions provide support to a wide range of operations within the GOA. Responsibilities may focus on one type of work or a combination from various administrative support categories, including:

  • Program Support – First point of contact for the public on phone, email or in person, explaining program requirements, processes and benefits; managing highly sensitive office correspondence, records, scheduling calendars and office supplies.
  • Office and Administrative Support – Draft and format office correspondence, manage records, maintain calendars and order office supplies.
  • Financial Support – Support finance teams ensuring completion of financial documents in areas of expenditures, reconciliation and petty cash, as well as reviewing transactions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Call Centre Support – Provide information and handle public inquiries regarding major government announcements, public consultation initiatives or major incidents such as a natural disaster or pandemic.
  • Legal Support – Provide services support to Crown prosecutors, Court of King’s Bench, criminal justice and corrections systems and staff.
  • Social Services Support – Support front‑line services for programs that support seniors, children/youth and vulnerable populations; respond to inquiries, redirect stakeholders and manage highly sensitive information in accordance with FOIP.
