Position Overview
As the Plant Controller, you’ll serve as the senior finance leader for the Belleville facility and a key member of the Site Leadership Team. This role provides strategic financial leadership, business partnership, and operational insight to help drive plant performance, support decision‑making, and ensure the integrity of financial results. You’ll work closely with plant leadership to translate operational performance into financial outcomes while helping identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support long‑term business objectives.
Whatyou will be doing
- Partner with the Plant Leadership Team to provide strategic financial guidance and support operational decision‑making.
- Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the Belleville facility.
- Monitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to support business objectives.
- Oversee month‑end close activities, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and financial statement integrity.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain financial and operational reporting tools that provide visibility into plant performance, cost management, quality, and efficiency metrics.
- Support cost savings initiatives by identifying opportunities, tracking results, and providing financial analysis for operational improvements and capital investments.
- Serve as the plant lead for internal control processes, including audit support, documentation, testing, and compliance activities.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for finance team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to improve financial understanding throughout the plant and strengthen operational decision‑making.
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- CPA designation.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, financial planning, cost accounting, or related finance functions.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Expertise in US and Canadian GAAP and their practical application.
- Experience partnering with operational leaders to support business performance and decision‑making.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience supporting cost savings initiatives, capital investment analysis, and operational finance.
- Previous people leadership or team development experience.
- Experience working within a fast‑paced manufacturing organization.
- Experience in SAP environment.
- Primarily Monday through Friday, day shift schedule.
- Flexibility is occasionally needed to support business needs, audits, and key operational initiatives.
- Combination of office and manufacturing plant environment.
- Regular interaction with plant leadership, operations teams, and corporate finance partners.
- Frequent use of computers, financial systems, reporting tools, and business applications.
- Fast‑paced environment requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing business needs.
- Requires strong collaboration across all levels of the organization and a hands‑on approach to supporting plant performance.
Salary Range: $104,480 – 130,600
