Mechanic Operator

Position: Mechanic Operator at Ontario Clean Water Agency
Join Ontario Clean Water Agency as a Mechanic Operator in Belleville, Ontario, and leverage your trades expertise in water treatment. This full-time role focuses on maintenance, repair, and operational efficiencies.

This full-time position is ideal for candidates holding a trades license as a Millwright or similar skilled trade. You will engage in crucial activities like predictive maintenance, repairs, and major equipment overhauls. Familiarity with water treatment processes and regulatory knowledge is essential to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and major equipment overhauls

• Engage in predictive and condition-based monitoring

• Operate process control and other related equipment

• Lead maintenance projects and liaise with contractors

• Ensure proper use and storage of industrial chemicals

Requirements:

• Trades license as a Millwright or applicable trade

• Operator-in-Training (OIT) certification required

• Valid Class G driver’s license

• Availability for overtime and on-call duties

• Good knowledge of water treatment processes
