Maintenance Electrician

Position: Maintenance Electrician Role at HPEDSB
Join Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board as an Electrician Maintenance ‘A’. This position focuses on electrical repair, installation, and adherence to safety regulations.

In this role, you will perform maintenance on various electrical systems within the Board’s facilities. Your expertise in troubleshooting and interpreting blueprints will be critical for maintaining safe and efficient operations. Collaboration with safety authorities will ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain fire alarms, lighting, and HVAC systems

• Program and install automated building systems

• Execute emergency repairs and manage equipment documentation

• Liaise with ESA for inspections and deficiencies

• Conduct inspections for potential upgrades or repairs

Requirements:

• Electrician Certificate (Construction and Maintenance) in good standing

• Six months experience in electrical maintenance preferred

• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle

• Criminal and Judicial Background Check required
