Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time, SWIC Educational Employee position of Outcomes Assessment Specialist.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position involves a variety of skills needed to support the activities of outcomes assessment, in the form of secretarial, budgetary, technical and supervisory work that involves moderately complex work methods requiring a high level of proficiency. Normal clerical tasks involve record keeping, preparation of reports and correspondence, document distribution, maintenance of OA budget and filing systems, skilled typing, word processing, and serving as receptionist.
Computer related tasks involve data entry and data formatting together with associated work in the collection, storage and retrieval of data. Work involves performing a wide variety of functions requiring the application of independent judgment/decision making and the interpretation of routine policies and regulations. Instructions are received from a superior on new assignments and policy matters, and advice and assistance are normally available.
This position works under limited supervision and work is reviewed primarily for the quality of services rendered to the faculty and staff assigned to the Outcomes Assessment Center. The position reports to the Dean liaison of outcomes assessment.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or GED certificate and three (3) years of related full-time work experience in clerical or secretarial work OR an Associate degree in a related field plus one (1) year of related full-time work experience.
2. Additional secretarial/business training, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
PAY AND HOURS
$20.34 per hour, 37.5 hours per week.
