BJC Medical Group is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join our inpatient cardiology team in a weekday-focused role at Memorial Hospital Belleville. This position is intentionally structured as an alternative to traditional cardiology hospitalist models and is designed to support clinical excellence, consistency, and long-term sustainability for the provider.

Physicians in this role provide inpatient cardiology care on a Monday through Friday schedule, offering a great work-life balance with limited weekends.

• Inpatient cardiology coverage on a Monday-Friday schedule

Role Purpose

The physician will provide professional medical services within the practicing Specialty to the best of physicians ability through direct patient care and spend additional time as necessary to perform other related duties such as completing medical records, providing MyChart consultations and inbasket management, conducting patient-specific education and collaborating with advanced practice providers and care team members.

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or otherwise arranging for inpatient hospital care of physicians patients, either through regular hospital rounds, making arrangements with one or more hospitalist(s) or other qualified physician to provide coverage for physicians hospitalized patients consistent with Medical Staff requirements.
