Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the part-time, non-union position of Community Education Test Prep Instructor.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the part-time, non-union Community Education Test Prep Instructor delivers non-credit instruction designed to support community development and engagement through lifelong learning. This position is responsible for teaching test preparation courses that help learners develop the skills and strategies needed for success on standardized exams, including but not limited to ACT and SAT preparation.
Course offerings and instructional hours vary by site and are based on each location's academic calendar and schedule. Instructors are scheduled to work no more than nine (9) hours per week, with potential for evenings and weekends.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's Degree in related test prep subject required.
2. Test prep subject matter expertise required.
3. Teaching experience and successful demonstration of content mastery/student achievement preferred.
4.
Experience with standardized test prep and familiarity with test-taking strategies required.
5. Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to hire.
PAY AND HOURS
$40.31 per hour, up to 9 hours per week.
