Salary Range: $109,137–$167,663 (based on experience).
Benefits & Work ArrangementMoving expenses may be paid. Up to 20 % telework possible. Depending on the position type (competitive/excepted) you will be required to serve a 1‑year probationary period or a 2‑year trial period.
Qualifications & RequirementsThe primary purpose of this position is to serve as an operations analyst and technical authority who leads air mobility operational capabilities studies across a broad range of functional areas.
- U.S. citizenship required; must be of legal work age.
- Must obtain and maintain a Top Secret, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance.
- Designated drug‑testing position.
- Bachelor’s degree in operations research or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or related subjects with substantial competence in college‑level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must include calculus.
- Expert knowledge of the Rapid Global Mobility mission area, especially aerial refueling operations, capabilities, and technologies.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of U.S. and foreign air mobility operations, including all AMC and USTRANSCOM missions, policies, organizations, and staffing procedures.
- Skill in modeling and simulation, statistics, stochastics, computer science, mathematics, deterministic modeling, artificial intelligence, AFSIM, STORM, and operations research.
- Knowledge of policies and procedures applicable to security/classification and Privacy Act programs.
- Mastery of a broad range of operations research techniques; ability to apply quantitative techniques and air mobility models focused on aerial refueling capabilities to solve problems or define alternative solutions for senior management.
- Extensive knowledge of current Air Force (or similar agency) modeling, simulation, and analysis capabilities, resources, and organizations.
