Voice Network Engineer
Abacus Technology is seeking a Voice Network Engineer to provide infrastructure support of communications networks for an enterprise program at Scott AFB. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing tier 3 engineering and support for voice and communications networks.
- Configuring, developing, patching, STIG, enhancing, and adding features to Cisco VoIP system to include Call Manager, Cisco Unity, Ribbon VX900 devices, Instant Message and Presence and Teleconference Bridges.
- Developing configurations and methods for Cisco Unified Border Elements, Session Border Controllers, and other network devices that use Session Initiated Protocol (SIP) to connect system to external voice systems.
- Developing configurations for SIP connections between the VoIP network and other customer networks including Asterik networks, Call Manager Express, SRST, and other Cisco VoIP networks.
Qualifications include 5+ years experience in a VoIP or telecommunications engineering role. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Must be CCNP Collaborations certified. Hands-on experience with physical network infrastructure (switches, routers). Extensive experience with Cisco tools and technologies including Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM) and Unity. Experience with network implementation and maintenance. Able to demonstrate flexibility in adjusting to variable workload and job duties.
Able to interact professionally with all levels of an organization. Must be a US citizen and hold a current Top Secret clearance.
