Patient Access Rep

Position: Patient Access Rep I
Barnes-Jewish Hospital -  - Responsibilities:
Register patients and schedule appointments within multiple BJC systems, ensuring correct MPI for patient safety;
Verify insurance, collect demographics, scan and retrieve documents in BJC systems;
Communicate professionally with patients and families, explaining financial responsibilities and collecting payments;
Ensure compliance with MSP, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements (EMTALA, JCAHO, Patient Bill of Rights);
Maintain accurate patient records with attention to detail and provide patient preparation instructions
