EMT, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Services ​/ EMS

American Medical Response (AMR) is seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our dynamic team. This role involves responding to emergency calls, providing medical assistance, and ensuring the safe transport of patients to medical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls and provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transport the patient to a medical facility.
• Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed.
• Resuscitate and stabilize patients using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Communicate with professional medical personnel at emergency treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and/or to arrange reception of patients.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment in line with standards
• Maintain equipment and facilities used in patient care.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in maintaining composure and effectiveness in the face of stress and discomfort
• Ability to operate emergency vehicles
• Competency in the use and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments
• Knowledge of basic medical and anatomical principles
• Effective communication skills for interfacing with patients, medical personnel, and dispatch
