ICU Student Nurse Tech PRN

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program.
• Completion of one semester of a fundamental medical/surgical clinical.
• Three (3) shifts every six weeks.
• Holiday rotation.

• Enrolled in an accredited BSN program.

Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundation, or adult/peds health).

• Assist nurse with patient and family education.
• Document all patient care activities with correct medical terminology.
• Act as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary.
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs.
• Implement direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing team.
• Collect clinical data and information on patients and report abnormal findings to the nurse.
• Instruct patients in preparations for tests and procedures.
