Emergency Department RN
Location:
Belleville, IL – Memorial Belleville emergency department. Full‑time nights. Ongoing staff position.
Memorial Belleville is an acute care Magnet®‑recognized hospital that provides comprehensive emergency, medical, surgical, and critical care services.
Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.
- Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educates patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care needs, and medication administration.
- Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engages in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and patients or caregivers.
- Proactively plans and ensures communication of the care plan across the continuum of care.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
- Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs.
- Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (no specific experience required).
- Valid RN license.
- No prior supervisor experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Experience as an Emergency Department RN.
- Basic BSN differential knowledge.
- Competitive pay with shift differential and BSC differential.
