Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) – Orthopedics. Full‑time night shift, ongoing staff position at Memorial Belleville Orthopedics Unit 1
South (Belleville, Illinois). Sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000.00. Competitive pay with BSN differential, shift differential, and benefits eligibility.
- Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with nursing standards.
- Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration.
- Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in professional development activities.
- Develop, implement, and document individual care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family/caregiver.
- Ensure proactive planning and communication of the care plan across the continuum of care.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, consider patient preferences, barriers, values, and cultural needs.
- Maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely as this is a safety‑sensitive position.
- Current RN license.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- No prior experience required; however, knowledge of orthopedics and/or medical‑surgical nursing is an asset.
- No supervisory experience required.
- BSN Degree.
- Experience in orthopedics and/or medical‑surgical nursing.
