Per Diem Registered Nurse – Skilled Nursing Facility Dialysis (SNF Dialysis)
This role is available on a per diem basis, with 1–2 shifts per month at DaVita SNF Dialysis locations in Belleville, IL (St. Pauls) and Chesterfield, MO (Athene). Wages range from $36.00 to $49.00 per hour.
What you can expect:As a DSD Services RN, you will take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient, ensuring their dialysis treatment stays on track, troubleshooting, and making sound clinical decisions. You will work autonomously while collaborating with cross‑functional resources and SNF staff to coordinate care.
Patient educationRNs are educators. You will have opportunities to conduct impactful education for patients and their families in the SNF setting.
Direct Patient CareYour primary responsibility is to independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care. The role includes supervising Dialysis Technicians who support tandem care to meet capacity and efficiency goals.
ComplexityDSD Dialysis care is complex but fulfilling; meeting clinical outcomes and multitasking are expected to meet service and SNF partner needs.
Autonomy and Critical ThinkingProvide comprehensive patient care independently, assess, diagnose, and implement care plans, and track patient progress continuously.
You must have:- Previous Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis, and/or Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 12 months of RN working experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN acceptable; a three‑year diploma from an accredited diploma program may substitute the nursing degree
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background
- Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
