Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Schedule:
12-hour days Every other weekend required
Assignment Details:
Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed
Hours:
36 hrs/wk for 3x12; 48 hrs/wk for 4x12
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years RN experience Travel experience required IL:
License in hand required at time of submittal BCLS certification required Recommended clinical skills:
Post-surgical med-surg care (familiarity with ERAS pathways) Orthopedic care (management of total joints and fractures) Neuro surgical/post-op care Wound care and management of multi-comorbidity medical-surgical patients
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting Monitor and assess patients' health status and vital signs Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Implement nursing care plans based on ERAS protocols Educate patients and families on health management and post-surgical care
Compliance / Notes:
Orientation: 24 hours Weekend requirement: 6 shifts in a 6-week period On-call required Floating required within MS/Tele service line as needed Maximum RTO of 7 days (must be finalized at submission; none allowed first week) Scrubs:
