Esse Health is currently seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Swansea Internal Medicine Office located at 4 Park Place in Swansea, IL!

Opportunity:

  • Full-time opening
  • Monday, 7:30 a.m.

    - 6:00 p.m., Tuesday & Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.

    - 5:45 p.m., Thursday, 8:00 a.m.

    - 6:00 p.m. and rotating Fridays
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Outpatient clinical practice

Position Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct or indirect nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problem; utilizes knowledge or basic nursing principles, practices and ethics. Responsibilities may also include: charting, metrics, perform miscellaneous delegated duties under the supervision of the Office Manager and or physician; assists in examination and treatment of patients.

Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, also gives injections to patients and records information on patients chart or EMR.

Who we are seeking (preferred):
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing; current State licensure; current CPR certification; one of more years of experience in ambulatory care; willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; and ability to work compatibly with physicians, other department members, and employees in other department.
