American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on a high-risk cardiology unit requiring 2 years of cardiac experience and an active IL RN license

• work Ii high-risk cardiology telemetry unit in an acute care Magnet hospital
• Patient population includes post-CABG (after ICU step-down), cardiac cath, and TAVR patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required across all inpatient units at both campuses within scope
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active IL RN license required, in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with strong cardiac background
• Experience with cardiac drip management (no titration) required
• Sheath pull experience required
• Central line management experience required
• EPIC charting experience required

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and emergency response as needed
• Manage patients requiring IV therapy/phlebotomy, wound care, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Support respiratory care needs including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and oxygen administration
• Care for pre/post cardiac surgery patients
• Navy scrub color required
• No parking costs at this facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
• Local candidates within a 75-mile radius are not accepted
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved
