Inpatient Surgical Nurse - Night Shift

Role Overview

Provides direct patient care in an inpatient surgical setting, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.

• Promotes patient and family-centered care by educating on illness management, post-treatment home care, and medication administration.
• Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the care team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care.
• Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural and spiritual factors, and barriers to involvement.
• Maintains safety awareness, working in a constant state of alertness as this is a safety-sensitive position.

• Required:
  
  RN license, Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, less than two years of experience.
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
